The project was mooted by then Singapore Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao in April 2007, against the backdrop of rapid urbanisation and increasing global attention on the importance of sustainable development.
Seasons City is a commercial development situated within the Keppel Group's 36.6-ha site located in the Start-Up Area in Tianjin Eco-City.
To be developed in phases, Seasons City will feature three office towers and retail premises with gross floor area (GFA) of about 162,000 sm. Phase 1 will feature an office tower and a retail complex with total above-ground GFA of 81,500 sm. The office tower, Keppel Eco-Centre, will be built according to the highest Platinum standard of the Green Building Evaluation Standard (GBES). Construction has commenced and phase 1 is targeted for completion in 2019.
